They’re just two areas created in the expansive, 5500-square-foot, Beehive Fibre Arts Centre in downtown Victoria. The multi-spaces are a key design, says Julia Huggett, operator of Beehive Wool, which runs the space.
She saw demand for knitting classes and social events rapidly outstrip the options, particularly since 2020 when folks picked up a variety of arts. When she saw the city’s vacant storefront program offering a “blank slate, come with ideas,” she jumped on the opportunity.
