Rental Policies and Procedures

Thank you for reading through these policies and procedures to ensure that all groups can enjoy this space. 

By proceeding with your booking, you agree to abide by these policies and procedures. Please read through thoroughly and share with your guests in advance of any bookings. 

Purpose of Use

  1. The rental space is intended for fibre-arts related workshops, classes, meetings, and community gatherings. 

  2. Events in which tickets are sold require additional liability insurance - easily purchased through our online partner. For groups booking for multiple sessions, the insurance must cover each day. 

  3. The renter may use only the areas specified in their booking form.

  4. Activities must be appropriate for a shared community environment and respectful of neighbouring businesses or tenants.

  5. All setup and cleanup must occur within the booked rental time.

Food & Beverages

  1. No cooking or food preparation is permitted on-site.

  2. No alcohol may be served, consumed, or brought into the space.

  3. Light refreshments such as pre-packaged snacks, baked goods, and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.

  4. Renters are responsible for providing all serving supplies and removing them afterward.

Decorations & Materials

  1. Decorations must not damage or mark walls, furniture, or fixtures. Use only painter’s tape or removable adhesive putty if needed.

  2. Glitter, confetti, and open flames (including candles) are not permitted.

  3. Furniture and equipment may be rearranged with prior approval but must be returned to their original positions after the event.

  4. Art supplies, paints, or crafting materials must be used responsibly and cleaned up thoroughly to avoid damage or staining.

Noise & Conduct

  1. Please keep noise to a reasonable level and respect other users of the building.

  2. Amplified sound (music, microphones, speakers) should be used moderately and may not disturb other users of the space. 

  3. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside and within 3 metres of entrances.

  4. The renter is responsible for the behaviour of all participants and guests

Cleanup & Departure

  1. Renters are expected to leave the space clean and tidy.

  2. Tables, chairs, and surfaces must be wiped down after use.

  3. All garbage and recycling should be placed in the designated bins.

  4. Any materials, equipment, or personal items must be removed by the end of the rental period.

Damage & Liability

  1. The renter will be held responsible for any damage to the facility, furnishings, or equipment.

  2. The space must be used safely and in accordance with all posted rules.

  3. The organization reserves the right to cancel or end any event that violates these rules or poses a safety concern.

  4. Renters assume full responsibility for their event, including any injury, damage, or loss incurred during use of the space.
