Knitting Level 2: Intro to Small Circumference Knitting

In this class you will have the opportunity to try different methods of working small circumferences in the round to see which is the best fit for you! Focus will primarily be on double pointed needles and magic loop, but there will be examples of other options for you to try as well.

  • Needles for in-class use: 6 x Double-pointed needles, 6 x 40” circular needles.1 x Flexiflips, 1 x 2 circular needles, 1 x 8” circular needle (& yarn for the flexiflips, 2 circs, 8” circ)

  • 20-50 g of worsted weight yarn in light or bright colours. Suggested:

Lesson Plan

Beehive will be supplying the needles for this course. Needles are to be left at Beehive after the workshop.

While the focus will be on DPNs and Magic Loop, there will also be 8” circular needles, Flexiflips, and an example of 2 circs at a time for students to try after they master the skill, or if they decide that skill isn’t for them. Only 1 example of each will be provided.
