Keep your pot of tea warm while you work a few more rows. Designed in celebration of our 120th anniversary, the Sweet as Honey Tea Cozy features a cute picot bind off and an i-cord or ribbon bow. The pattern is worked flat in stretchy 2x2 ribbing and comes in four sizes meaning it’s sure to suit every teapot.

THE DETAILS
SIZES
1-2 cup: Fits up to 7” wide, 5” high
2-3 cup: Fits up to 8” wide, 6” high
4-5 cup: Fits up to 10” wide, 7.5” high
6-8 cup: Fits up to 11” wide, 8.5” high
Measure the width of your teapot from the base of the spout to the handle. Due to the stretchiness of ribbed fabric, the sizing is very adjustable. If your teapot is in-between sizes, chose the smaller size for a snugger fit.
YARN
Approximately 200 m of aran weight yarn. You can also use equivalent amounts of a sport weight yarn held with a lace weight yarn, or two fingering weight yarns held together.
Red Sample: 1 x Novita 7 Brothers #587 ‘Cranberry’. Fits a 2-3 cup teapot.
Green Sample:1 x Istex Fjallalopi #3032 'Rockweed' held with 1 x Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair #9523 'Lime Punch'. Fits a 4-5 cup teapot.
Multicolour Sample:1/2 x Noro Ito #90 'Mooka'. Fits a 4-5 cup teapot.
GAUGE
24 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm (4”), in 2x2 rib after blocking, unstretched. Gauge is not critical but will impact finished size and meterage required.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
- 4.5 mm (US 7) knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
