Do you dream of making your own one-of-a-kind garments and accessories? Do you enjoy creating thoughtful and practical gifts for friends and family? Do you see patterns that you long to make, only to be frustrated when you don’t have the skills to complete them?

If you answered “Yes!” to any of these questions, our classes were designed with you in mind! Whether you are a needlearts novice or a full-fledged fibre enthusiast, our teachers are excited to help you approach your next project with confidence.

Our classes are divided into 4 skill levels:

  • Level 1 is designed exclusively for students who have never attempted this craft before. In these classes, you will learn foundation skills that are expanded upon in later levels.
  • Level 2 builds upon foundation skills by introducing you to techniques such as shaping and working in the round in order to build your confidence in pattern selection.
  • Level 3 introduces projects that rely on your understanding of gauge and how it affects your fabric, as well as more advanced pattern stitches
  • Level 4 is for experienced knitters and crocheters who are looking for a new challenge with advanced stitch techniques, and higher difficulty projects.

Help Sessions

We’ve all been there: your project is half-done and you can see the finish line, when suddenly – disaster strikes.  Whether it’s a dropped stitch, a confusing line in a pattern, or a friend to let you know you’re on the right track: we are here to help. Our help sessions are FREE for knitters who have purchased their materials at the Beehive.

Project Help sessions are held 8 times a week. We ask that you preregister by phoning the shop, and sign up for only one session per week to help ensure we can help as many knitters as possible.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10-11am, OR 11am-12pm, OR 1-2pm
