Wool Pellets are an organic garden soil amendment made from recycled waste wool. Superior to traditional mulch, it helps retain moisture, improve soil aeration, and inhibit weed growth. It has an alkaline pH, contains no chemicals, and is rich in nitrogen and potassium - vital nutrients for your garden.

Riverside Farm wis working with the Wild Sheep Society of BC, the BC Sheep Separation program, Dr. Helen Schwantje, and sheep producers in the Regional District of East Kootenay. We are working together to test domestic sheep for Mycoplasma Ovipneumoniae (M.ovi), to determine the prevalence and risk to Big Horn Sheep. The goal is to support farmers who support wildlife conservation and together we can promote both healthy domestic and wild sheep in the region.

Production of wool pellets contribute to waste reduction as lower grade wool can be utilized as a soil amendment. They also offer potential in drought mitigation.

1 kg of wool pellets will serve approx 0.56 cubic metres of soil.
