Level 5: Advanced Projects

This class will introduce you to advanced techniques for garment making and accessories. While you make the project of your dreams, an instructor will guide you along each step in the pattern and help fix mistakes as they arise. 

You will bring the pattern and yarn of your choice and your instructor will provide you with guidance to help you finish your project. Consider selecting a pattern with new-to-you skills such as construction or finishing techniques. This class is open to both knitters and crocheters.

Students are required to purchase their own yarn, needles, pattern, and notions. Students get a 15% discount on materials purchased for their class.

Run time

5 sessions x 2 hours. 

Project

An advanced knit or crochet pattern, including garments, shawls, ponchos, and other accessories.

Knitters should know how to: 

  • Read patterns (written or charted)
  • Knit and purl
  • Cast on and bind off
  • Increase and decrease
  • Knit to gauge
  • Follow a pattern
  • Pick up a dropped stitch

Crocheters should know how to: 

  • Read patterns (written or charted)
  • Chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet
  • Increase and decrease
  • Crochet to gauge
  • Follow a pattern
