    We are abuzz with excitement to have an exclusive yarn here at the Beehive. In collaboration with The Small Bird Workshop, our Beehive exclusiveDunlin is a 100% British-sourced and -spun wool, beautifully hand-dyed here on Vancouver Island. Named after adorable shorebirds, our Dunlin line was hand-dyed with thoughtful consideration onto a variety of natural tones, resulting in a stunning depth and saturation of colours. A minimally processed blend of BFL and Masham wool. This yarn is lofty and soft, perfect for colourwork and next-to-skin garments and accessories.

    The Small Bird Workshop is the brainchild of Catherine Knutsson, proprietress and purveyor of wool. Catherine is an experienced knitter, spinner,  and hand dyer as well as a very new weaver. She loves sharing her love of fibre and wool with others and is passionate about ethically sourced fibre and wool.
