Crochet Level 0: Absolute Beginner

Welcome to the wonderful world of crochet! This class is designed for the absolute beginner who has never picked up a crochet hook. If you have ever done any crochet (whether as a child or more recently), please take Level 1.

In this class, you will be introduced to the basics of crocheting. Your finished swatch can be used as a coaster. 

The necessary materials and pattern are included in the cost of the course and will be provided to you in the first class.

Length: 2 sessions x 1.5 hours

You will learn how to:

• Hold the hook and yarn
• Chain
• Single crochet
• Recognize stitches
• Keep the edges of your work straight
• Finish your work

Skills Required:

• Absolutely none. Novices only, please. 

Beehive will provide:

• 1 ball of Drops Lima
• 5.0 mm crochet hook
• 2 tapestry needles
• 3 locking stitch markers

You need to bring:

• Nothing
