Rainfall / Starfall Shawl Kit in Bunting DK

The Starfall and Rainfall shawls are cozy, asymmetrical triangles that use a simple stitch pattern to big effect! They are knit with the wonderfully squishy Bunting DK, a 100% Falkland Island Corriedale wool yarn. 

These shawls celebrate little stitches. Starfall uses the cross-stitch, and the sister pattern, Rainfall, uses an Estonian button stitch. Instructions for both stitches have been included so that you can mix and match as you’d like, but be aware that they have different gauges and use a different amount of yardage, so it’s a good idea to weigh your yarn so you don’t have to play yarn chicken.

Skein photos are for colour reference only. Your kit will include 3 or 4 skeins, depending on shawl selected. Samples pictured are of Starfall in Vesper and Rainfall in Natural Grey.

Kit includes: Digital pattern and 3 or 4 skeins of Small Bird Workshop Bunting DK. Rainfall (grey) requires 3 skeins and Starfall (blue) requires 4 skeins.
Skills Required: Knit, purl, slip stitches, yo, k2tog, pass slipped stitch over, kfb, i-cord edging, following charted instructions

Needles and Notions: Purchased Separately.

• 3.75 mm (US 5), 80cm (32") circular needle and DPNs, or size needed to achieve desired gauge.
• Tapestry/Darning Needle
• Blocking tools: Wool wash, blocking mats, Knit Blockers or T-Pins and Blocking Wires
