Classes

Join us for in-person classes at the Beehive Wool Shop. Enjoy small class sizes, great attitudes, and finish your class with confidence in your new hobby.  We are happy to host an inclusive environment that is open to adults of all abilities and skill levels. Please be mindful of our skill requirements in each class in order to take full advantage of our lessons. See our class policies here.

Our classes are divided into the following skill levels:

• Level 0 is designed exclusively for students who have never attempted this craft before. In these classes, you will learn foundation skills that are expanded upon in later levels.
• Level 1 is intended for those who have learned the basics recently, or years ago. We will go over the basics to re-learn or refresh foundational skills.
• Level 2 builds upon the skills learned in Level 1 by introducing you to techniques such as shaping and working in the round.
• Level 3 explores short rows and provides a valuable opportunity to continue building skills and fixing mistakes.
• Level 4 introduces projects that rely on your understanding of gauge and how it affects your fabric. You will be guided through making a garment that fits.
• Level 5 is for experienced makers who are looking for a new challenge with advanced stitch techniques, and higher difficulty projects.
• Workshops are designed to be accessible for anyone falling into Level 2 or higher. Needle felting and punch needle workshops are perfect for beginners and up.
