Knitting Level 4: Intro to Double Knitting

Explore the extensive possibilities of double knitting! Double knitting creates a reversible fabric that shows the design on both sides. In this class your instructor will guide you through the basics as you make a hot pad.

The pattern is provided for this workshop, but students are required to purchase their own yarn, needles, and notions. Students get a 15% discount on materials purchased for their class.

Supplies to Purchase

  • Two strongly contrasting colours of DK weight yarn. Suggested:
    • Drops Karisma, Drops Lima, Drops Merino Extra Fine, Sandnes Garn Double Sunday, Sandnes Garn Duo, Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt
  • 4 mm (US 6) circular or straight needle
  • 3.5 mm (US 4) circular or straight needle for cast on (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
