Workshop: Knit Charts

Loading...

Charts! You’ll encounter them everywhere - from lace, to colourwork, to cables, and beyond.  Being able to read charts allows you to read your knitting, visualize a pattern before you begin, and even opens up the possibility of knitting patterns written in another language.  If you’ve ever felt intimidated by charts, or just curious about them, join us for this two hour workshop.

You will learn how to:

  • Read common chart symbols
  • Follow charts when knitting flat (we will discuss working in the round)
  • Understand charts with shaping

You should know how to:

  • Knit in purl in any style
  • Cast on and bind off
  • Read a pattern
